🔹 Column Care: Flush, Seal, Store! 💧🔄🔒
1️⃣ Use an appropriate solvent to remove strong additives.
2️⃣ Flush with a stronger solvent than the mobile phase (without salts or acids).
3️⃣ Gradually transition from 90:10 water/methanol to 10:90 over an hour, then rinse with 100% methanol for 20–30 min.
4️⃣ Seal both ends of the column to prevent contamination.
🔹 System Rinse: Salt-Free, Methanol Key! 🚰➡️🍶
1️⃣ Before shutting down, flush all tubing with methanol.
2️⃣ If using a salt-based mobile phase, rinse with pure water first.
3️⃣ Transition from 90:10 water/methanol to 10:90 over an hour at a flow rate of 1 mL/min.
🔹 Power Down: Software > Instrument > PC > Unplug! 💻🔌
1️⃣ Close the software.
2️⃣ Turn off the instrument.
3️⃣ Shut down the computer.
4️⃣ Disconnect all power sources (preferably unplug).
5️⃣ Empty the waste bottle to avoid residue buildup.
